Win Toolkit

I am not a new person when it comes to using WinToolkit (using v.1.4.0.32). However I am having some difficulties with trying to locate the updates to use with WinToolkit. Currently the error message I get when pressing the "Update Catalog" button is: I do have an active internet connection and I am not behind a proxy. Also, I have searched the forum and have been unable to find the links to get directly to the "McRip" updates or even the "SoLoR" updates. Anyone got any ideas?

Every version of Win Toolkit i have used has let me know there is an update and would i like to download it, well when i click yes, i get a busy pointer and my system locks! so i have to manually get it from here, or nsanedown when i check to see whats new as i dont have any probs with anything else that lets me know theres an update! I am an xp user, i do have a win 7 partition for gaming, so a bit of both!! Anyone else have simular probs!

The title probably doesnt do the question justice because I couldnt think of the best way to phrase it. What I want to know is whether or not specific .WA addons can be chosen during an install process rather than ALL addons being installed silently. (process similar to windows post installer) I am making my disk to suit several diffferent machines I have and not all of them require ALL of my addons.

Hello I wanted to know what's the difference between MCRip & Solor Hotfixs? For Windows Updates If I have Service Pack 1 Can you intergrade MCRIP or Solor Hotfixs? Thanks....

Can multiple versions of the exact same operating system be created on a single AIO disc that use different unattended file to install so that it installs with different computer name and customised logos and boot screens etc?

Hi, I've been trying to use the update catalog feature for a few versions already but it gave me every time the message http://chris123nt.com/.. The operation timed out. After closing this dialog a new dialog appeared: Access denied: You can't close this whilst Win Toolkit is scanning, please wait! I saw in some other thread that the servers of McRip and Solor would be down. I checked using an ordinary webbrowser and both appeared to be up! I finally solved the 'connection' problem by resetting the Update Catalog Download folder in Win Toolkit Options (defining the same path as before!). I've tried with cab files and msu and when I try toadd updates they simple don't appear in the lis of updates.

ok so this is the second time i have tried intergrating the update files (downloaded through this program) and all seems to work fine i know i get one red bar but i do know that with sp1 one of the xp mode files isnt needed im guessing its the virtual pc part that has the error... but if it works i dont really care anyway thats not the problem once it has run for about 2 hrs or so and intergrated the files i check it out and it says install pending to all but one file... ???? and its happened on both runs... i have started with fresh win7 sp1 iso from the microsoft site fresh extracted files each time

hi lego i tried new version in windows 8 relese preview and it hangs when trying to mount image.i will have another look tonight just incase my mistake.although 1.4.28 worked fine.

Hey, I'm new to using DISM and while I have read a few tutorials and fiddled with DISM GUI I am still completely lost. When you run the Get Packages command in DISM it comes back with next to no packages at all (and thee ones it does come with are removable in vLite, RT7Lite WinToolKit ect..). I have tried Tiny7 and am impressed with how small the image is compared to the amount of features it retains. Long story short I would like to re create (adding my customizations) the image (this way I can make it x64 SP1 and leave in some features that I see fit) I saw in many tutorials that you can only take out the packages listed in the image. For some reason *.cab files are not being integrated, anyone else having this issue? EDIT 1: This issue only appears if you are going to integrate IE9 or have integrated it the past, once IE9 is integrated, CAB updates will no longer work EDIT 2: It seems to also affect MSU files when LDR/QFE mode is selected. P.S. I am currently using Windows 8 so that may be the problem.

In the latest version 26 the Update Installer does not work properly. When trying to uninstall an update on Windows 7 the uninstall starts hanging and the uninstall proccess never ends. Then I have to kill Win7Toolkit or just have to reboot the comp. Can you take a look at this?

Hope you're all OK and enjoying Win Toolkit. v27 has been released with many bug fixes, but as you have probably noticed i have not been doing many requests, this is because i've been focusing on bug fixes. I want to have a bug free program before i start on requests so please keep reporting your bugs and at the same time i will check error logs. Hi ....I have just started using the program trying to move away from RT7lite due to its not been updated in such a LONG time, But i have notice WinToolKit takes FOREVER rebuilding the image and i do mean forever. I have tryed it with the virus/firewall (GData) disable and no internet connection, it seems to add the security patches okay i have even download a new iso just in case but no.....i waited over 3 hours and it still was not finnished.. What is the normal length of time does it take to rebuild images?

Is it only me, but in version .26, clicking on that "button", under downloads tab, actually doesnt do anything... Nothing is launched or no error of anykind is displayed. At the same time it works fine under Main Tab, though... :g:

I have a problem in WIM Manager, when I want import Image from existing WIM, the Browse button in disable... I'm doing anything wrong...? Regards... ;-)

Using v26 the new Windows Update Agent Cabs show red but also show integrated... not sure yet if they did or didn't install but I will run the KUC and know soon
