Win Toolkit Discussions - Customize your Windows Images

Hey guys, some users have higher DPI settings than the default (96). I was wondering if you could please tell me what doesn't look right within Win Toolkit. I've already sorted Tools Manager and Update Catalog. Please tell me: 1) Your DPI setting 2) Which test version below you where using 3) What looks squashed, etc.. 4) Screenshot (optional but recommended) Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------- I've now included the latest test version will DPI and code fixes, feel free to test it out. I use a color scheme to denote numerous different things about folders so my folders have .ico icons in them along with desktop.ini files ... when I use the download function it moves them all to the OLD folder... is there a way to avoid this? EDIT: When I tested this I had used a copy of my original manually maintained update list and after the ico's were moved I copied them from the original back to the new folders and re-ran the updater... nothing was moved or changed. I then copied 7 random files to the SatisfyWU folder and re-ran the updater... again nothing was moved or changed... now I'm not sure how this is supposed to work

Just thought i'd let you know that when you open a link within WinToolkit such as in the 'Downloads' tab, it will take you to an advert for about 5 seconds and then you will go to the link requested. This is so i can get a few dollars a month (barely anything but better than nothing). I hope you guys don't mind however that is my limit, what i mean is.... I will NEVER have adverts within WinToolkit as that will annoy everyone included myself. So yeah, i hope you guys don't mind having to view a 5 second advert before seeing your link open. Also WinToolkit will forever remain FREE. EDIT: It's only on buttons which opens an external site so it's not intrusive. Feedback abou…

Hello all, First, congratulations for this software which is so far the best for integration. I've already succeed to make a compilation but it has been failed for this second try. The only differences from the first time are : - using the latest version of the software - integrating (successfully) first .msu updates using DISM - integrating (successfully) first drivers to boot.wim and install.wom So the order was : updates -> drivers -> wintoolkit Here is the log below. Thanks you very much.

  7. You can do a All-in-one x86 + x64 ISO with Win Tools, but I think you shouldn't bother. Various reasons: -It's unlikely it will be small enough to fit in a DVD. I have a Ultimate x86 + x64 ISO (without any additional updates/addons/drivers and without SP1) that is around 4 gigs, for example. Will everything fit in 700 megs? hmmmmmm..... -DVD are slooow. DVDs are soo old school these days. Any computer that isn't 10+ years old can boot from USB, and any USB memory device (even HDDs) is pretty damn faster than any DVD. On the net you can find plenty of guides and programs to place your Win 7/8 ISOs on a bootable USB drive. The best so far seems to be YUMI since it allows yo…

Sorry i haven't been on much in the past couple of days, went home to visit my parents for 2-3 days. Also i had to take my laptop apart to clean it as it was overheating and shut itself down whilst playing Sniper Elite V2, its idle temp was 79C and under load could burn my hand. Anyways now that's cleaned it's now operating at 45C idle and 75C when playing Sniper Elite so a big improvement

Cheers for the info, ill just do one of each. i Do Install from usb stick i do it 99% of the time, and i do have an up to date system, being an avid gamer on an I5 2500k system! i choose my own components. 11. I just finished downloading the Win 7 Ultimate x86 iso, I extracted it in a folder and began working on it with the first step of AIO integrator (which is the WIM manager). Now it shows me a list of images, each is one of the various Win flavours. (STARTER, HOMEBASIC, HOMEPREMIUM, PRO, ULTIMATE), and each has a "stated" size of a round 8 GB (which sounds a bit weird since everything combined in that folder is less than 3 Gb). Let's say I want to make a ISO that can install each one of these flavors. I click on "remove ei.cfg", and that allows me to do that. Good. Now let's say I want to make an ISO that also contains addons, patches and drivers I downloaded. I remove ei.c…

  12. I have looked around and downloaded Win Toolkit, which is unbelievably awesome. I have also downloaded all Win7 driverpacks (both 86 and 64) from the same site Win Toolkit tells you to take them. I'm still downloading Win 7 ultimate x86 and x64 Isos. Now, if I wanted to place the abovementioned driverpacks into my win 7 iso do I have to use their utility (driverbase or somesuch) or there is a Win Toolkit function for it? If there is can you tell me where it is (and maybe make it more apparent?)

Hi Legolash2o and than you for great an excellent piece of software. I can hardly imagine that anybody has more experience with Win Toolkit then you Legolash2o. So do you think you could share -I think the most critical- part of your setting of Win Toolkit the components which you usually remove? I still missing something like Winterstorm 2050's "Components to keep list". Respectively what is only matter are dependencies between components you can remove by Win Toolkit and basic OS functions for example Wifi, printing and utilization of common software. I know there is a great thread about updates and their mode but I still missing an important link between updates and th…

  22. Hi Legolash2o, I'm terribly sorry to give you 2 "bad news" but: 1) v40 does NOT integrate drivers (the same was in v39) to be integrated integrated 2) On loading .INI-file WinToolkit changes the path for IE9-LP in the .INI-file IE9-LP Sure, it's good for the integration, but if I add new objects (programs, drivers or whatever) and I save (obvously) the presets, this modified path wil be saved in the preset; this is not so good: next time I load the preset, the IE9-LP is not present anymore, because temp-path has been deleted on exiting WinToolkit. BTW: saving windows-size: very good giving version on title-bar: very good Thanks. Regards, Thiersee

  24. Saving .INI-files (settings) does NOT work. Delete objects on AIO (any sub-tab) with delete-Button does NOT work; the same for "Remove selected" and "Remove all" in the menu-bar. This two issues are working in older versions! Regards, Thiersee
