Dear All, Legolash2go has not been active for a long time. He said that he would have more time after his math exam and that he would take care of Winkit for the next three months. We have not heard from him last week. Do you know where he is and what is up to?

...I have selected my images, made my choices on each tab, and started the process. I then went and selected my unattended options and created an ISO. I was thrilled because it only took about 2.5 hours and I thought we had ourselves an AIO Win7 install disk. My test in VirtualBox wasn't unattended and none of the silent installers seemed to have run... I shut it down before I looked to see if the updates were installed because I am obviously going to have ot redo the thing. I looked around the tutorials but couldn't find anything... I am a bit tired though, and a few Heinekens in me... can somebody post a link for the ID10T that can't find his hand in the dark? Not sure…

Hi, I'm having a problem with Autounattend.xml. When I apply with W7T (quick or full, doesn't matter). I got "Device driver not found" error at setup and it asks me to find drivers. I also integrated "MassStorage DP_x86", so I can't still find the problem. Without Autounattend.xml, I don't have any problems at install. How can I solve this problem? Thanks

Hello! What has been bad Toolkit. 26 ... is just an extremely slow. I've been using the same machine toolkit regularly for years (Core i7, 4 * SSD RAID0, 12GB-DDR1866mem etc) is never done 19 hours of image change. I assumed that the bar after a visit image would have been prepared, it was not even the middle! In previous versions, the speed is fine.Sorry my bad English

Hi Legolash, I want to start by thanking you for this wonderful Tool! Amazing stuff! Right, I just performed a test integration on a hotfix that is causing me some trouble, and noticed that WinToolKit installs 2 hotfixes each time it is used. I have noticed that it's installing KB976902, which is a pre-requisite for installing Service Pack 1. However, after going to read the KB article, to verify what the Hotfix was, I noticed that it has been superseded by KB2533552. I advise that you should replace the built-in hotfix with this one, in the next build. Also, is it right that WinToolKit should install this KB at all to an official SP1 image? I'm under the idea that t…

This is the first time I have ever seen this... in fact I had just run a successful integration just before this and the only difference was I added KB2705624 to the hotfixes Error.txt EDIT: I just ran a new integration and it ran fine... one thing I did though before I started this one is I ran http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897440.aspx to clean the alternate data streams on my hotifx directories... but I think this was possibly a fluke error... not really sure

Still some confusion over this item: How do we get McRips additions? The pointer in the tool is still referencing SoLoR's? How do we get McRip's Office updates http://office2010.cesidian.info/ ? The pointer in the tool is still referencing SoLoR's? Is there a way to automatically create a sub-directory when downloading McRip's files like the ones created for SoLoR's... McRip's download directly to the root location selected

I could have sworn that I asked before, but I can't locate the post... Everything seems to work as expected with a Vista SP2 disk (updates, tweaks, etc), but when the installer gets to the disk format/partition screen, the installer gets extremely slow. This is the case whether or not an Autounattend.xml file is used. The problem exists with Virtualbox and VMware, both of which are assigned CPUx2 and 4GB RAM. I am going to test on a bare metal box this afternoon. The problem doesn't occur with Windows 7. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks in advance, ~S

as long as you're extracting files from the exe, i'm noticing that the files are not being deleted on exit in some cases... if check for updates is enabled and the version being started is old, and you click 'yes' to download the update (program exits), extracted files remain i'm also seeing the 'SevenZipSharp.dll' file remaining in other cases, though i can't specify how to reproduce just yet maybe there's some sort of exit routine you can run on WinToolkit.exe exit to be sure the cleanup always runs?

what is UTH.exe? when i applied registry tweaks to my live system, my firewall alerted about a TCP connection by UTH.exe in the program directory connecting to 204.245.162.11:80 when i checked the folder, there was no UTH.exe - is this an included file that is extracted and deleted as necessary?

Hi @Lego, I have questions about the process order when win toolkit is working. Does win tool kit follow this process sequence as below? 1- to mount the image file first 2- if a multi image file, to get the desired folder by "removing config.exe" and delete others 3- integrate windows updates 4- upload silent and msi installers (if there is any) 5- delete windows components (language packs, sample music, etc.) 6- apply windows tweaks 7- integrate the drivers 8- create a new image 9- etc. As in the example above, does wintoolkit do all these processes In a correct and logical order automatically? Or what?

I have a problem running WinToolkit 1.4.0.21: today I tried three times to run WinToolkit and every time, after the run has completed, the temp-folder (D:\WinToolkit) has not been cancelled; as result I got "corrupted Image", if I restarted the programm, without a possibility to unmount this corrupted image! The temp-folder (Mount) has no content! Only if I delete the temp-folder can I restart WinToolkit and reload the same image. All this does not happen with version 1.4.0.18! Regards, Thiersee

As you have probably noticed I haven't been working on any requests, don't worry they will be done. At the moment I'm focussing on bug fixes and then once I'm confident they have been fixed I will resume working on requests. Please continue to post problems in the forum, if you have reported a bug and it's still present in v20 feel free to give that topic a "bump".

Greetings all, My apologizes for my noobiness. Although the description seems to be pretty straight forward, I'm still not 100% sure what this setting does exactly? I'm hoping there is a way to integrate my unattended.xml file I normally use the following command to do so: "sysprep /generalize /oobe /shutdown /unattend:C:\windows\panther\unattend.xml" I use Windows PE via PXE to install so the boot.wim is separate from the install.wim in this case. Any light on this subject would be appreciated. Thanks for your time. UPDATE: This Microsoft Article seems to indicate I can put my unattend.xml in the following location %WINDIR%\Panther for first time setup to use. Testing no…
